Kermit meets a park ranger!

Hey, family! I have missed you so much, but these Wandering B's have kept me too busy to write. Just a few lines to let you know what I have been doing.

On July 7 we visited a really cool box in Goodyear Metro Park, Akron, Ohio. It was called Goodyear Duck and Waddles: you should know it well since you planted it! Attached is a picture of me (you need to look closely) sitting on the sign at the park along with a picture of she-who-must-not-be-named looking through a familiar and important tree. Just as I was stamping in my signature stamp, a very friendly park ranger asked us what we were doing. We told him we were coloring stamps (which was true). He indicated that he had never seen anyone stop to do this on a trail. So we had a very nice conversation with him all about travels and his work as a NATIONAL PARK RANGER in Washington state. Want to bet he knew exactly what we were doing? But he was very nice and continued on his way around 10 minutes later. We like to think we left a good impression on him of letterboxers even if he wasn't sure we were.

We also visited the Oxbow Trail Letterbox (A Must See) and the Fall Spree Series #5 (by Wee Walkers). Wow! What a view! I didn't know I had traveled so far above the river. It was a fun walk, and we saw many birds and even a deer with her fawn. How cool!

After visiting with their family and friends, The B's headed off toward Bowling Green, KY, with a few stops along the way. I'll write more about these trips later!

Love,

Kermit
